THE BUSHCRAFT COMPANY
We provide outdoor adventures for children aged 7-18 years old from May to October. Arriving at one of our safari-style tented camps, students become fully immersed in the wilderness; sleeping under the stars, and cooking over open fires. Whether they are learning first-aid techniques, building shelters or tackling an SOS scenario, our outdoor adventures are as real as you can get.
THE ROLE
Food is an integral part of the Bushcraft experience and our Field Kitchens are at the heart of our camps. Meals include American style pancakes, cooked breakfasts, kebabs or a campfire roast. We will also supply multiple snacks throughout the day such as flapjacks, brownies and fruit.
You will be responsible for cooking the delicious meals for students, teachers and your team, working to the simple and easy-to-follow recipes provided. The students can get involved during our wilderness cookery sessions, including making their own burgers or wood-fired pizzas!
An important part of the role is ensuring that the storage, preparation and serving of all food is well monitored, maintained and controlled. You will receive full Food Hygiene Level 2 training to support this.
Our food gets rave reviews so you’ll need plenty of enthusiasm, energy and passion to maintain our high standards and ensure your tribe leaves camp with positive memories that will last them a lifetime.
You’ll be able to camp on Staff Camp and enjoy the great outdoors for yourself whilst building friendships that last a lifetime with your colleagues. With regular ‘Feel Good Fridays,’ staff parties and more, you really do become part of The Bushcraft Company Tribe.
You Must:
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Hold or be willing to obtain a valid DBS.
- Be at least 18 years old.
We’re offering:
- Up to £96.05 per day dependent on age
