Chef / Senior Chalet Cook
This role is one of two chef roles in Black Diamond Lodge, catering for up to 20 resident guests. We offer a daily changing, three course “menu du jour” and a modest menu of a la carte options to our resident and occasional non-resident guests, bar snacks, plus a series of special/gala nights for groups during the season. You will be one of two chefs, sometimes running the kitchen alone according to rotas. We also offer a buffet and cooked option breakfast to guests each day.
The package for the role includes daily food on duty, access to accommodation if needed, access to reduced rate seasonal ski pass. The average (modulated) hours are 37.5 per week, with two days/part days off per week, and 2.5 days of holiday per month (or pay alternative at end of season). It is a great role for responsible and capable all-round cook/chefs who enjoy the opportunity for mountain time, whether skiing or other activities. The season runs from early December to early April.
English and French Speakers preferred but French not essential.
